Project Overview
Facts First was an ambitious project that aimed to create a fully responsive news site to deliver factual information on future and past presidents’ economic performance using historical and contemporary data. It comprised tools and infographics that provided specific information about each president, as well as tools for comparing presidents. Facts First was built using React with a WordPress publishing backend.
My Contributions
I was asked to come on board to help turn the concept into a workable product. As the creative lead, I was in control of all design aspects. I produced everything from user flows to wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, as well as assisted with development by working with the majority of the responsive HTML and CSS.

The site began as a Facebook channel that presented economic data comparing current and past presidents, which gained enough traction to warrant the creation of a dedicated news site with articles, tools, and metrics in order to become the best authority on presidential performance.
The first phase of the design process concentrated on establishing site layouts and flows, along with determining the essential tools and charts that would form the backbone of the site. These elements would be complemented by a daily stream of news articles to highlight and explain events impacting the economic performance of the current president.

The site was successfully launched in 2020, but the initiative eventually failed owing to a lack of feasible business opportunities.
